News and practical guides
Short practical notes about websites, maintenance, hosting, and technical work that help make clear decisions.
New project: Log Watcher, plus feature updates for Kanban Board and TREMS
Log Watcher, a new self-hosted log-analysis and AI triage tool, just joined the project lineup. Kanban Board and TREMS also picked up a batch of new features.
Three project updates this time: a brand new tool, and fresh capabilities on two existing ones.
Log Watcher is a new self-hosted, multi-project log-analysis and AI triage system. It polls Loki and OpenSearch, groups matching errors into incidents, and asks an LLM to explain the likely root cause of each new one. Alerts go out by email or webhook, maintenance windows mute notifications during planned downtime, and resolved incidents build a searchable, cross-project solutions knowledge base.
Kanban Board picked up rich text task notes with @mentions and threaded replies, a full per-task activity log, a public user profile page with a GitHub-style activity graph, and custom project data tables with CSV export. It can now also link out to a Status Page instance to cross-reference incidents.
TREMS now supports environment membership requests with group-based notifications, certificate import from more formats (.pfx, .p12, .jks), LDAP/Active Directory sync for technological users, and a safe demo mode with scheduled data restore. The standout addition: TREMS can automatically create Kanban tasks for certificates and users approaching expiration, with resolution synced back from the linked board.
All three project pages now show live light/dark screenshots you can flip between. Take a look, and get in touch if any of this would be useful for your own setup.
Two new projects available for purchase — Kanban Board and Status Page
Kanban Board and Status Page are actively developed projects available to purchase and run on your own server. Both are maintained and open to client feature requests.
Kanban Board is a task management tool that runs on your own server. It includes LDAP login, multi-assignee tasks, file attachments, email notifications, statistics, and a full admin panel. Pro mode adds AI-assisted task assignment and external integrations.
Status Page lets you run a public status page for your services. Monitor probes track HTTP endpoints, SSL certificates, TCP ports, and databases. Incidents are created automatically, and the page shows uptime history, active incidents, and upcoming maintenance windows.
Both projects are actively maintained and open to client feature requests. If either one looks useful or you have questions about setup and customisation, feel free to get in touch.

d18.lv is open. This website is a simple place to explain what we can help with, without making the work sound bigger than it is.
We work with website maintenance, new website creation, cleanup of existing websites, server maintenance, hosting, domains, and backups.
We can also help with CI/CD setup, deployment workflows, containers, Ansible automation, and other technical tasks where a clear practical solution matters.
If something is wrong with a website, hosting, or publishing, send a short description. From there we can decide whether it needs a small fix, regular maintenance, or a new solution.
